Ring of the Miner 1.16.3-1.15.2 modification is a small port of a separate ring from another modification called Gobber 2. When using a ring, this will break all the blocks that are not ores in a space of 11 x 5 x 11 blocks around you.
When using the Shift+right mouse button combination, the blocks will not break, but will disappear immediately. Use this powerful magic artifact to significantly speed up the extraction of vanilla ores and ore from other modifications.
